Mavis R. Feldpausch

YORK Mavis R. Feldpausch, 70, passed Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Gettysburg Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas W. Feldpausch. They were married on April 18, 1964 in DeWitt, Iowa, where they started their family. Mavis was born in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter of the late Claude and Effie (Lott) Atkinson. She retired in 2011 after 22 years of service at Harley Davidson. Mavis cherished her family, friends, and pets. She loved to cook and read. She especially enjoyed RV camping. She was a member of the Liberty Social Club. The service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In addition to her husband, Mavis is survived by two daughters, Michele Madden of York, wife of Michael, and Lois Heiland, wife of Michael of Dover; four grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Ashley, and Allison and six great-grandchildren; a brother, William Atkinson of Wisconsin; and two sisters, Alice Brown of North Carolina and Thelma Morris of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Feldpausch, and a sister, Joann Rich. Memorial contributions may be made to Life's New Beginning, 461 Gun Club Road, York, PA 17406.
