I still think about Bob whenever I see anything Godzilla related. He was & is the biggest Godzilla fan I've ever known. That's how I keep his memory alive. Peace & blessings to his loved ones.

Dearest Daddy,

I miss you so much it hurts. I wish I could have just one more day, one more day with you. Friday June 13, 2014 you went in for your triple bypass waving at the door to open and kissing and hugging us all, doing your salute with Tyler. Waiting the 6 hours for your to finish was the longest 6 hours of my entire life. You came back out and into ICU and we got to see you. You could hear our voices and you got all excited, twitching and moving. The nurse made us leave so you could rest and we came back the next day to see you sitting in your chair. You welcomed us with a smile and the nurse told us you walked the entire ICU unit and you were doing well. I got to help you sip your drink and you were using your hand gestures cause you didn't want to talk too much. You were moved upstairs to the 2cd floor and my faith was restored you were on your road to healing but your leg was still bothering you and we ended up back down in ICU. You went in for your third and final surgery I got a terrible feeling in my stomach and seeing you tell Bruce you loved him for the first time broke my heart and Father's day became my worst nightmare. The nurses would not let us back to see you cause you would get so excited and move and twitch and they needed you still. I never got to tell you that you were the most amazing father/grandfather anyone would could ever ask for. I prayed and prayed and prayed some more for your recovery. I waited for your recovery I waited to see you open your eyes. Monday morning at 3:05 am my whole world came to an end and you let go. You fought and fought and you were so tired. We said goodbye to you and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I never said goodbye and I still wont but I will say see you later. I love you to heaven and back....

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bob's death. He was a great teacher & true friend. My most treasured memory of Bob is how much he loved his family! He will be missed far more than words can say. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

I worked with Bob for 10 years at MARC Train Service. What I remember best and admired most about him was the way he'd light up whenever he talked about his son Tyler. He also delighted in my son, Andre, who he knew as a baby and is now 15, who we called "Schnook-ie." Bob called him that just a few months ago when we last saw him. Andre loved coming to work and sitting with Mr. Bob because he had all the toys on his desk. My little one, Spoosh-ie- 6, loved playing with Mr. Bob and his toys as well. We will all miss him very much.
