Heaven has a new angel, Tammy Mitzel Hake, 58, passed away suddenly on October 1, 2017.
She was born in Lancaster to Howard and Rosalyn Berstler Mitzel and was a lifelong resident of this area. Tammy was a graduate of Penn Manor High School with the Class of 1977 and worked for many years at the Columbia Family Restaurant. Most recently she had been assisting her husband with Hake's Plumbing.
Tammy was known to touch the hearts of all that she came into contact with and adored her family.
Tammy leaves behind her husband of 12 years, Keith Hake of Wrightsville; her children, Jaqueline, wife of David Hoffman of Red Lion and Jared Wood of York; two step-daughters, Jessica Hake and Krista, wife of Zack Ray, both of Columbia; two grandchildren, Rosemary and Caleb Hoffman of Red Lion; her parents, Howard, husband of Rosalyn Berstler Mitzel of Washington Boro; her siblings, Michael, husband of Maxine Mitzel of Columbia, Karen, wife of Terry Karstetter of Lancaster, Mark, husband of Diana Mitzel of Columbia, Scott Mitzel, fiancé of Cynthia Rowe of Yorkana; her mother-in-law, Lois Hake of Columbia.
In accordance with Tammy's final wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no formal services. A private family celebration of Tammy's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
