Larry called him dude, the younger people called him old man, Hugo called him Verde, the rest of us called him Greenwell (there are at least four Andys at work), but the one thing we all called him was friend. To know Andy was to love him. We were all blessed by his joy of life, his love for others, and the sparkle of wonderment that he never lost. Maya Angelou said people sometimes may forget what you say but they will always remember how you made them feel. Valued. Rest In Peace my dear friend .

Andy taught me, and just about everyone else, how to swim at Kenedy pool. Great instructor. That was 55 years ago, and I'm still swimming. He left a lasting impression. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I've known Andy since we were in band together at 4th Ave. junior high. I've got so many sweet memories of him, swim team, band mate and friend. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Andy will certainly be missed - his quick wit, sense of humor and the way that he made people feel at ease. He has left behind a beautiful legacy in his daughters and grandchildren. Helen, our prayers continue to be with you and the girls as you move forward without Andy. I love you and your family.
