Benjamin Best Obituary
February 15, 1982 - April 7, 2024
My family is sad to announce that our youngest son Benjamin passed peacefully in his sleep, April 7, 2024, at the age of 42. Ben was born in Eau Claire, WI to Karen Bogstad-Ritchie and Dennis Best.
His mother and him moved first to Yuma, then El Cajon, and eventually back to Yuma. Ben worked various jobs in San Diego County before moving to Yuma to be the caretaker of his mother's residence. Ben had a big heart and loved to help his friends. He recently invited his friend Robert to live at his mother's residence.
Ben is survived by his mother and father; stepfather, Mike Ritchie; brothers: Dennis, Nathaniel, Shawn and his sister, Ilia, and his only son, Noah Best. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be June 7, 2024 at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego and a Celebration of Life in the Yuma area will be June 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at Crazy Earl's Cocktails, Yuma, AZ.
A special thanks to Reyes Dombrowski funeral home, Yuma and Holy Cross Cemetery, San Diego for helping the family with arrangements. Also, thank you to all the contributors via GOFUNDME for helping with expenses related to Ben's final expenses.
