Carol Nickle Obituary
Carol grew up in L'Anse, Michigan and graduated from L'Anse High School in 1946. Carol met the love of her life, Nick, while working in Chicago. They married and raised five children eventually settling in Yuma in 1966. Carol began working for Kofa High School as a guidance counselor receptionist, a job she held for 15 years.
Carol loved to read, listen to Big Band music, do crossword puzzles, crochet, she also looked forward to her regularly scheduled manicures and pedicures and keeping up with all her wonderful friends and family via telephone or cards. The weather channel has lost its biggest fan!!!
Carol was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for many years.
Carol is survived by five children, Debra (John) Kurtz, Stephen (Rachael) Nickle, David (Lisa) Nickle, Susan (Chris) Flores and Robert (Carmen) Nickle; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Donna Johnson; brother, Tom Whaley and many loving nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; a special friend, Bill; her mother Theressa; her father, Guy; and her brother, Bob.
A memorial to celebrate Carol's life will be held at Johnson's Mortuary on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I had the honor of meeting Mrs. Nickle in 1981 while I volunteered at the guidance office for one class period during my Senior year. She was such a loving happy person to be around. Her beautiful eyes were just as beautiful as her heart.

I will miss Carol...she was so amazing! I'm sorry for what I know is a huge loss to her family and friends. I pray the Lord will ease your pain. He has eased hers and she is happier than ever.

Condolences to the Nickle Family... Your Mother was the most wonderful person to ever know. She was always the life of the party no matter where she was and loved her family so very much... She loved her butterflies and jewelry that's for sure, oh and how she loved to shop QVC! She will be greatly missed by all but never forgotten. We will always cherish the friendship and hold those great memories she gave to us each morning here at Curves. Stay strong as prayer, family and friends will get you through this tough time.
