Daniel Nichols Obituary

Daniel Nichols, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Born on November 3, 1941 in Somerton, Arizona.

Daniel retired as a truck driver as a hay hauler with Albert Durand. He also worked for Blackie's and OTT Bro's. He was an avid billiard player, and enjoyed going to the casino's.

Daniel is survived by children, Yolanda Nichols, Raymond Nichols, Serena Magaña, Timothy Nichols, Danita Nichols ( Fred F.); Brother Alvin L. Nichols; grandchildren Nichol Ghahate, Christina Nichols; grandsons, Mike Magaña, James Magaña; uncle David Brown; aunt, Barbara Brown; plenty of relatives and friends in the surrounding areas with special honor Stacy Durand.

Daniel is preceded in death by his grandmother Clara Brown; long time companion Renee Chicken-Joaquin; mother, Mildred Brown Collins; father, Raymond Nichols; son Daniel Nichols Jr; grandson, Emilio Alberts.

Services will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Yuma Mortuary. Private Viewing will be held between 2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. and public view between 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. continuing services will take place at the Fort Yuma Reservation Cry House at 5:00 p.m. ending Sunday 5:00 a.m.

Dan has been my friend, my teacher, my advisor and the person who loved to pick on me for many, many years and as we both got older he passed the torch down to his brother,daughters and his grandsons I only hope that I can bring them as many smiles as you brought me and give them as many stories to tell my heart will be forever sad at this loss but I know your in a better place so when I see you again my friend you had better have a tournament ready and the first rounds on you love always
