Dorothy Hallett Obituary

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother Dorothy E. Hallett passed on in Yuma, AZ at the age of 93 on Sunday, March 11, 2012. She was born in Medford, MA on March 21, 1918.

Dorothy graduated from Somerville High School in 1936. She then attended hair dressing school in Boston and graduated in April of 1938. In May of 1939 she married her husband of 61 years Lester David Hallett. The couple moved to Natick, MA, where they raised a family of four children. After the passing of her husband in 2000 Dorothy moved to Yuma, AZ to be closer to her daughter Anne.

She had many hobbies over the years including working in her beautiful gardens, painting scenes in oil and watercolor, and creating stained glass pieces of art.

Dorothy leaves three children, David R. Hallett (Virginia) of Kingston, NH, Paul S. Hallett (Kristen) of Winterport, ME, and Anne D. Camacho (Chris) of Somerton, AZ. Her eldest child Carolyn Dobachesky of Franklin, MA, preceded her in death. Carolyn's husband Robert Dobachesky is now of Plymouth, MA. She also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Her final resting place will be beside her husband in Dell Park Cemetery, Natick, Mass. A graveside memorial service is planned for August. A huge thank you to the staff of: Emerald Springs, Hospice Compassus, and Home Instead for all the help and support. It is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten!
