Harriet Patricia "Pat" McGrath

Harriet Patricia "Pat" McGrath Resident of Placer County entered into rest on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Rocklin, CA. Pat was born March 17, 1914 in Glen Ullin, ND and was a resident of Placer County for the past 4 years. Precious aunt of Tamara Blake, Candi Garavito, Owen McGrath, Timothy McGrath and Warren McGrath. She is preceded in death by her parents Orrin and Ida (Lechtleugner) McGrath, a sister Leona McGrath, brothers Luverne, Harold and Owen McGrath. Pat was instrumental in obtaining legislation and in 1972 (AB543) improving the retirement system for teachers. She graduated from U.C. Berkley in 1935 and was in the educational system for 35 years. She taught at Washington School in Alameda from 1943 to 1972. The family invites you to attend a visitation starting at 12:00 pm with a funeral service at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2010, at Holy Angels Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Road, Hayward, CA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home in Roseville, CA.
