Eugene Carl Ivaldi

Eugene Carl Ivaldi longtime resident of Fremont Eugene Carl Ivaldi, entered peacefully into rest October 24, 2010 at his home in Fremont, CA. Born August 19, 1922 in Oakland, California to Attilio and Adelina Ivaldi, he was 88 years old. Eugene was raised in Oakland, graduated from Castlemont High School, Class of 1941. He was a longtime resident of Fremont, and was a longtime produce manager and owner of his own janitorial business. He loved dancing, playing the accordion and working in his garden, which was always immaculate. He was a member of the Sons of Italy, Washington Township Men's club, past member of the Columbo Club and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was past president of the Retiree's Retail Clerks, Union Local #5. Loving husband of over 56 years to Yolanda Ivaldi. Beloved father of Michele Ivaldi of Soquel, CA and Geno Ivaldi and wife Lisa of Roseville, CA.. Caring brother of Esther Mendes of San Lorenzo, Ca, the Late Leona Foote, the Late, Andy Ivaldi, the Late Harry Ivaldi and brother-in-law to Rachel Corso and husband Steve of Santa Rosa, CA. Devoted grandfather of Nick Ivaldi and Lauren Ivaldi. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and many beautiful friends. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eugene's life at a Memorial Mass, which will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 11AM at Holy Spirit Church 37588 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA.
