O'Kelley, Doramae

Doramae O'Kelley was born in 1931 to the late Ray and Carrie Neaville (Wing) in Beaver, OK and grew up mostly in Sterling, KS. She received her undergraduate degree in education from Sterling College and a Master's in Art History from Michigan State University. Doramae met Jarrell A. O'Kelley at Sterling College and they married in 1952. They had four children Melissa Demas (Jeff), Amy, Andrew (Michelle), and Vanessa (David Santucci). Doramae has three grandchildren from Melissa - Ashley Roberts, Anthony Demas, and Abbie Boggs and 5 great grandchildren - Aubrianna, Riley, and Austin Roberts, Andrew Demas, and Benjamin Boggs. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jarrell, her daughters Amy and Melissa, brother Dale Neaville and son-in-law David. Doramae taught Art History at Defiance College and Adrian College, served as Docent Coordinator at the Dayton Art Institute, and Director of the Findlay Historical Museum. She wants you to know that women's rights are human rights and to never stop fighting for them. Serving the family is Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Dayton.
