John & Magen,
I have the fondest memories of your dad when were at Kinkaid. Also, I can not help but chuckle when I think of our Arkansas rafting trip with David Mossy and Tom Wynn in 1975. Your dad and Tom ran their canoe aground, Tom panicked and the canoe flipped and flooded. Tom, your dad, the canoe and all their belongings were last seen floating down river.Of course Harry lost his glasses but was such a good sport. With his vision so poor, thankfully we talked him out of driving back to Houston in his much prized Torino.
I will always remember Harry's smile, his laugh and most certainly his passion for University of Texas football.
Your dad was so very proud of you both. I have not doubt that his spirit is soaring and his memory will live on in all of us.
God's speed Harry Failing. Thank you for your friendship and enriching our lives. You will be missed by all.
Love,
John and Diane

John,
Words cannot express my sorrow for your loss. The UT football home games were when your Dad and I perfected the "cell phone shuffle" before we met on Bevo Blvd. or at Scholtz's. But the best times were reserved for our away games. The OU game was a chance for him and I to catch up on our annual supply of Fletcher's corny dogs, and I am sure your Dad had some stories about our trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas!!
Lots of stories and lots of memories. He is saving us a place in the Longhorn bleachers in heaven when we can all catch up with each other again.
Take care of yourself, John. Live your life fully, like he did.

May God Bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I will miss seeing Harry at all the Longhorn games. The "Highlight" that we shared was at "The Rose Bowl". He could not play that DVD enough. He will be missed !
