Margaret Ann Paskert

Margaret Ann Paskert departed this earth on Easter Sunday and fell into the waiting arms of her parents and beloved Aunt Ann.

Marge was predeceased by her 2 husbands, Paul Francis Paskert, the father of her five daughters, and William Kosmach, her beloved husband in later life.

Marge is survived by her daughters Marilyn Paskert, Jeanne Duffner, Eileen Slattery, Ellie Nokes, and Margaret Paskert Lennington.

She is survived by her sons-in-law Ted Pierson, Mark Duffner, Phillip Slattery, and Ron Lennington.

Her four grandchildren were a great joy to her: Liam Slattery, Sean Slattery, Andy Chapko and Sarah Lennington.

Born Margaret Ann Racic, she grew up in a Slovenian neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from high school Margie, as she was called, studied nursing and worked as a pediatric nurse until 1953 when she met Paul Paskert. On their honeymoon they moved to California where they raised their children. Marge went back to work in 1972 and worked as a surgical nurse at Stanford Medical Center until her retirement.

Marge loved music all of her life. As a child she sang in the choir at St. Stephens in Chicago, later with the choir at St. Nicholas in Los Altos. She loved opera, the symphony, Vince Gill, rock & roll; the list goes on and on. She could automatically sing harmony to any tune, even as she was learning it. Although stricken with Alzheimer's Disease, Marge never lost this ability.

Marge was a great mother. We all love her very much and miss her terribly. Her service is private and we encourage anyone who so wishes, to contribute to the charity of their choice.
