Hands down my favorite teacher of all time. Kind, generous and always sincere and caring. He fueled my interest in science and guided me toward my eventual vocation-Avionics Engineer. He will be forever missed!

Through many years of volunteering with Bob on Ohio Wesleyan projects, I learned to admire his diligence and kindness towards others. Bob was among the most interesting conversationalists I know, a good speaker and a good listener. Whatever he said was worth hearing. I will miss him.

I am absolutely stunned by news of Bob's passing. He and I were the closest of friends at Ohio Wesleyan, and his death is very painful to me. I had just talked to him in November and we talked about the election and our good times at OWU. My deepest condolences to his family.

I was fortunate to have Mr. Alspach as a teacher and fellow member of our church. You won't find a nicer man.

Bob was a loyal Alumnus of Ohio Wesleyan University. He was one of our class leaders when it came to raising funds after our graduation and planning for our class reunions. He will be missed, yet well remembered for his leadership, loyalty and on-going support of our beloved Ohio Wesleyan University.
