Edgar "Tim" Alspach, 96, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025. He was born in Akron, Ohio and was a life-long resident. He graduated from Akron East High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber where he met his wonderful wife, Helen. He later retired from the University of Akron.
He was a longtime member of the Tallmadge First Church of God and a volunteer at Goodyear Wingfoot park for over 10 years. He was an avid bowler and fisherman. He also loved working puzzles. His favorite past time was telling jokes, pulling pranks and making people laugh. Another favorite activity was attending the Church of God camp in Hubbard Ohio.
He was preceded in death by: Helen, his beloved wife of 56 years; his parents, Loren and Alice (Eckfeld) Alspach, and all of his 11 siblings.
He is survived by: his 3 children Judy (Rick) Varga; Jill Bowling; and Tim (Teresa) Alspach; 3 grandchildren Megan Varga, Katy (Eli) Hassenrik, Evan Bowling; and 3 great-grandchildren , along with many nieces and nephews. In addition, his special friends; Bobbi Wayne, John and Jayne Graf.
Services will be held January 6th, 2026 entirely at the Tallmadge First Church of God located at 464 Northeast Avenue in Tallmadge OH. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon with the service immediately following.
