RIP. He was my Dr for several years and was hard finding one that showed the same time and consideration when he retired. Bless you.

My coworker, my boss, my physician and my "brother". I miss him but will be forever grateful for the blessing he was to me and my family. I pray that Steve, Amy and all of his family can find comfort in remembering their good times together

Steve and Amy, I was so very sorry to learn of your Da´s passing. He was a wonderful doctor and a good friend to my husband for many years, particularly when they shared adjoining offices at 900 Scioto St before Jim moved over to work in the Mercy Memorial ER. Wishing you and your families comfort and blessings!

He was a great man and a kind doctor. When he was active at church he was a servant there too. We will pray that God will comfort y´all. We especially thank Dr. & Mrs. Paxton for coming to Dr. Ray Kaffenbargers house in his last days to show us love and support.
Until we meet on the golden streets!
Love y´all,
Dr. Dan & Janet Kaffenbarger

I am so sorry to hear this. Dr. Paxton was the first physician in Champaign County to take an Adult Protective Services case to court, probating an adult who was unable to protect herself. He worked with me to advocate for the elderly for many years! His willingness to step outside that box was ALWAYS appreciated! He became MY physician for many years due to this! You will be missed, Dr. Paxton. Thank you for your commitment to those we served.

Oh what a competent and caring doctor! How I was sorry when he retired. He was the last of the country doctors who answered his own phone off hours. He will forever hold a special place in my memory and those of my family.Bye Doc!
