My brothers and I grew up with Patricia and her family in Charleston, WV. We have many fond members of not only Patricia, but her brothers.

We were shocked to hear of her passing. I, especially, because she was just sharing and smiling on our "Homie Charleston" monthly Zoom call in February with friends from Charleston.

Patricia accomplished much outside of her community as well as in her community. She will be greaty missed.

With deepest sympathy from Yvonne Alsup and brothers Moses, Frederick and Ronald Newsome.

Dear Family of Patricia Meadows,
I am so sorry to hear about her passing. She was a wonderful friend and Blessing to my mother Ethel Carr at Trinity Presbyterian Church. She checked on her and took her home on many occasions when my mother stopped driving.
They shared good times at Trinity and in the community as well. I always admired Pat's
enthusiasm for life, her service in many organizations, and her overall kindness to everyone. She will be missed and leaves a great legacy for us to follow.
May God Bless you!
Connie B.

I send heartfelt condolences to the family of Pat Meadows and to the legion of friends who mourn the loss of this wonderful woman who lived an exemplary life of love and service to God, family and community. I personally am bereft at the passing of my friend and colleague.
It was my privilege to know and work for Pat as her assistant at NCCJ for 10 years from 2003 until she retired. Those years well reflected her professionalism and the love and care that Pat exhibited to all she encountered. She lived a life of honor and service in all she undertook.
Rest in peace, dear Pat, and I know your steadfast faith in God assures that you are in His presence now.
Eternal rest for your soul for the good life you lived here on Earth.

I was honored and fortunate to work with Pat as a member of the Medical Social Services and Discharge Planning Dept at MVH for seven years. She was the consummate social worker - professional, compassionate, strong, ethical and she endlessly strove to move the social work profession forward. She was also fun and loving and a powerful presence no matter where she focused her energy. The doors of heaven are wide open for Pat.

Many years ago Pat gave me my first social work position at Miami Valley Hospital, where I then worked for 10 years. She built a department that grew tremendously throughout her career there. I occasionally would see her after that while she was still the Director of Social Services. I remember several staff Christmas parties at her home and the birth of her two oldest sons. My condolences to her family. May all your memories of her be of comfort to you as your say your goodbyes. Jeannie Strausburg

So sorry to hear of Pat´s passing. She was such an inspiration! I liked to think of her as my "quiet mentor." I only had the opportunity to ask for her guidance a time or two (and of course she was right) but I always admired her from afar. Dayton has truly lost a gem. I worked with Charles at the City & didn´t know he´d passed as well since I am no longer local. Sending warm thoughts and condolences to all their family and friends.
