Linda Sturdivant Obituary

Linda Lee Sturdivant, 72, passed away on December 29, 2023.

Retired teacher with Memphis City Schools. During her 35 years of teaching and being a counselor, she taught at Graves Elementary, Richland Elementary, and Shelby Oaks Elementary. Mrs. Sturdivant enjoyed reading, writing, and spending quality time with her friends and family. She received her bachelor's and master's degree from Memphis State University. She enjoyed Memphis Tigers games with her husband and sons and doing weekly crafts with her granddaughter.

She was born in Paterson, NJ and was preceded by her parents, Frederick and Muriel Siekmann.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Sturdivant, two sons, Jonathan David Sturdivant, Christopher Ryan Sturdivant (Jenna), two sisters, Wendy Almon (Ron), and Barbara Corson (Jim), one granddaughter, Lila Sturdivant, with a grandson due in March.

The visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to Shepherd's Haven www.shepherdshaven.org or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
