Jennifer Fuller Obituary
Jennifer Janson Fuller of Atlanta, whose buoyant spirit and kindness touched the lives of everyone she knew, died peacefully at home on January 11, 2024, after a short illness.
Jennifer was born July 3, 1949 and raised in Chicago. She was the daughter of Ursula Heurich and Joseph W. Janson. She earned a master's degree in speech therapy from Southern Illinois University in 1973. In that year she became a permanent resident of Atlanta, where her career included public school education followed by years as a preschool director in the Morningside area of Atlanta.
Following retirement she volunteered countless hours as a docent for Atlanta Botanical Gardens, leading children's tours and activities. As a musician she played flute with the Seed and Feed Abominable Marching Band at parades, festivals, retirement homes and hospitals. She enjoyed outdoor activities, especially camping, and participated in numerous Peachtree Road Races. Her greatest love was the time spent with six wonderful grandchildren: Vivian, Quentin, Isaac, William, August, and Oliver.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, William R. Fuller; her son, and his wife, Blake and Tiffany Fuller, of Rome; her son and his wife, Todd and Emily Fuller, of Decatur; six grandchildren; her sister, Laura Waddick of Decatur; her brother, Gilbert Janson of Chicago; and her stepsister, Nancy Steele of Philadelphia.
A memorial and celebration of life service will be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Atlanta Botanical Gardens or to the Atlanta Humane Society.

I am so very sorry to learn of Jennifer's death, which has come much too soon. Our college escapades together--almost all great fun, a few more serious--are among my most vivid memories of that time. Limited though they were, I treasure the times we had together after that. Clearly Jennifer was a force of nature, the very best of energy among us. My heart is sad. My memories are happy ones. Condolences to all.

Jennifer is one of my dearest and oldest friends. We were daily strolling buddies when our children were young. So many days were spent enjoying Orme Park and watching our little ones grow. We kept up with each other through the years but did not get together as much as we should have. This is a true regret, because we could always pick up where we left off and have fun. I can hear her voice and her cute laugh. She was always so kind and giving of her time and attention. She loved her family and adored her grands. Jennifer will be deeply, deeply missed by all who were so fortunate to know her.

Very sad news. Jennifer was my mentor in the Garden docent program. She was a wonderful, kind, caring person who was always a pleasure to spend time with. My condolences go to her whole family. May happy memories stay with you forever.

I know Jennifer from sharing many hours together at the Botanical. We shared many stories of grandchildren her costumes for the Marching Band. I also go to a cabin in the mountains and we talked about our peace and sense of retreat there. I know she love her family with a heartful of endless abundance . I am so saddened to learn she could not beat her illness. My prayers go out to her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Such terribly sad and unexpected news. I spent many a delightful morning with Jennifer as docents at the Botanical Garden. I will miss her. Sending prayers for strength and healing to all of the family.

A warm, thoughtful and kind person. A loving Aunt who always saw the good in people, who wasn't afraid to call it how she saw it, who was always willing to listen, and to understand.
