John Adams Obituary

John Q. Adams, Jr.

Canaan, NH - John Quincy Adams, Jr., 73, passed away at the Lebanon Center Genesis on Sunday, January 21, 2024. He was born to the late John Q. & Velma M. (Buxton) Adams Sr. John attended Mascoma High School and Proctorville Vocational School. Soon after he began working for Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, retiring after 34 years. John enjoyed his pets over the years and collecting Hot Wheels, model trains, and die cast cars. His most cherished moments were spending time with his cousins, spending time and traveling with parents, and hunting with his brothers. John was a member of the Dorchester, NH Grange # 280 and a past member of the VFW in Plymouth, NH.

John is survived by his sister Irene Wahl, and her husband Marty, and nine nieces & nephews, including his niece Julie, who cared for him the last 12 years. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Anthony.

Family and friends are invited to John's memorial service at Hope Bible Fellowship in West Lebanon, NH on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11 AM. John's Burial will be held in the Canaan Street Cemetery in Canaan, NH this spring.
