Patricia Oliver Obituary
Patricia was born March 25, 1959 in Memphis, the daughter of the late George Lee Buchanan and Sadie Ruth Kennemore Buchanan. She grew up in Miami, Florida and was married April 29, 1978 to Charles Oliver. Mrs. Oliver was employed in real estate while in Florida and then moved to the Oakland area in 1991. She was employed with the Oakland Police Department, was a volunteer firefighter for Oakland and with the Oakland Water Department before her retirement. She was involved with the Humane Society and enjoyed being with her grandchildren, shopping and art, especially drawing and oil painting.
Mrs. Oliver is survived by her husband of 46 years, Charles Oliver; two daughters, Tina Nelson (Stephen) and Amy Oliver (Joshua Spicer); her son, Charles Oliver III (Bekah); two sisters, Beverly Collins and Catherine Myers; her brother, Ernest "Buck" Buchanan; and eight grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, Colin, Kyle, Riley, Juliauna, Anastazia and Joshua.
The family will have a private memorial service.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Fayette Cares, P.O. Box 326, Somerville, TN 38068, or Fayette County Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 44, Rossville, TN 38066.
Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center and condolences may be left on our online guestbook at www.PeeblesFuneralHome.com.
