Grace Henden Obituary

Grace Elizabeth Henden, 88, of Batesville, MS, went to be with her Lord on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. In her final days, she was surrounded by the love of family and friends.

She was born in Jackson, TN, to parents J.K. Richards and Margaret Emma Coltart Richards on August 1, 1935. She spent most of her life in Memphis, TN, where she married her beloved husband John Hendren (Jack) and raised three sons, Mark, Kelly, and Todd.

Her family and faith were the foundations of her life. A longtime member of Merton Avenue Baptist Church in Memphis, she later joined First Baptist Church in Batesville, where she continued to live out her faith each and every day.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack and her son Kelly. She is survived by her sons Mark (Pat), Todd (Andrea), six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, with visitation beginning at 10:00am.
