Sheba Brisco Obituary
She leaves her husband, B.J. Brisco; two daughters Lakeyta Granville of Indianapolis and Mckayla Morton of Memphis; a son, B.J. Brisco III of Memphis, three grandchildren, Bianca Finnie, Kaleigh Weatherall and Marterius Macklin Jr., and her father, Charles Cason of Memphis.
She would've celebrated her 50th birthday on July 19, which is also her father's birthday.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Annette Hoskins; two sisters, Desarae Hoskins Calhoun and Atrishia Hoskins, and a brother, Marcus Dewayne Cason.
Ms. Brisco worked at FedEx and The Commercial Appeal and had attended Christian Brothers University. She was also a graduate of Treadwell High, where she was Miss Treadwell in the class of 1992, an honor student, the first Black female to be in the top three graduates of her class, and was captain of the cheerleader squad and a national ROTC cadet.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, noon to 1 p.m., and a homecoming celebration will begin at 1 p.m. at St. Jude Missionary Baptist Church, 853 E. Trigg Ave.
Superior Funeral Home has charge.

My sincerest condolences for the loss of your loved one. Sheba was one of the sweetest of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She adopted me as her mom and I accepted her as my sweet daughter. I would cook beans for her at her request. I wish I had known so I could have said my last " see you later "! I would have been there buy God knows best! My sweet girl no longer has to suffer nor wonder about her heart nor wait on one. She is yet whole again with our lord and savior Jesus Christ and I take solace in knowing this. I will be keeping the family lifted in prayer. Take your rest baby girl. Until we meet again!

Words cannot express the deep sorrow I feel at your passing. You were more than a friend to me, more like a sister. I am comforted in knowing that in life you knew how I felt about you and our bond. However, I'm most comforted in knowing that you knew the Lord and had a real relationship with Him. You truly walked in His path and loved all people as He commanded us to. In spite of your health, you pressed on with your calling by walking in your designed purpose. God saw you growing faint and decided to give you rest for your job was done and race had been won. I will forever keep you in my heart.
