Not only was he a classmate of mine at Tabor where we both graduated in1956 but he was a brother Marine. I too joined the Corps right after graduation.
Semper Fi brother. Fair winds and following seas.

Our condolences to the entire Freeman family. Newell "Super Newie" and the whole Freeman family are truly the best neighbor's anyone could ask for. He was blessed with a great family, great friends and a great zest for life...he will be missed! Tim & Doris Hanley

Ginny......My friend Ed Galvin, in Salt Lake City, told me this morning of Newell's passing. My sympathies to you and Tripp and Craig and all. So many memories, over so many years. I can see Newell's face now, and feel his spirit. That was a wonderful picture in The Recorder. IT seems like yesterday that you and Newell were stopping in and visiting at my parents, in the kitchen or by the pool. I am away now, and otherwise would be there on November 2nd for his Celebration of Life. It will be special, I am sure.
Fondly, Joan Hosmer Griffith
