Donnie Hugh Odom

Donnie H. Odom of Cordova, TN passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025. He was 84 years old. He was born August 6, 1940 in Corinth, MS. He was the son of Frank and Kate Latch Odom both from Alcorn County. He graduated from Humes High School in 1958 and served as President of his Senior Class. Donnie joined the Army after graduation, serving his country with pride in Frankfurt Germany. Returning home, he went to work for American Snuff Company later to be known as Conwood Corporation. He went to work in the Accounting Department and retired as Controller of Conwood. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Sonny Odom. Donnie was a loving brother and friend to many. He leaves a brother, Bobby Odom and his wife, Gloria from Arizona. A sister, Brenda Odom Holt and her husband, Richard. Two loving nieces, Angela Holt and Allison Holt Snider and her husband, Jordan. He leaves behind his loving family in Corinth, MS. Donnie was an active member of Cordova Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years with dedication and devotion to his Lord and Savior. The family would like to thank Dr. Jim Muston and Danny Evans and the beloved members of Cordova Baptist for their love and support. The family would like to thank the Nurses and PCA's at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House for their loving care and compassion during Donnie's stay that extended to his family as well. The family invites friends and family for visitation on January 24 at 12 noon and followed by graveside burial at 1 pm. Services will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Poplar Avenue.
