Timothy Harwell, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 14, 2025 at the age of 54. Born on January 29, 1970, in Memphis, TN, Timothy was the son of Connie Harwell and Eddie Mae Baker (Henry Baker). A graduate of Manassas High and a proud Navy Veteran, Timothy's legacy is defined by his passion for helping others, his immense heart, and his infectious spirit.
Known affectionately by many as "Mr. Charmer," Timothy had two beloved nicknames: "Preacher Man," a moniker given to him by his neighborhood, and "Lil Bill," given by his favorite uncle, Steven. He was a natural handyman, mechanic, and lawyer at heart,
always lending a helping hand wherever needed. His kindness and compassion earned him numerous awards for lifesaving actions, and he was widely recognized for his selfless acts of service to neighbors, the elderly, and animals alike.
Timothy was a devoted father to his two children, Raven and Simeon, who were his pride and joy. He had a smile and laugh that could light up any room, and his patience was unmatched when it came to teaching, explaining, or just having a heartfelt conversation. One of his favorite sayings was, "You know what I mean," and he would repeat it with a knowing grin as he shared his wisdom with those around him.
Timothy's love for life extended to his travels, his joy of singing, and his unique ability to aggravate his nieces and nephews in the most endearing way. He was proud of the family and friends who surrounded him, and his heart was full of love for those who meant the most to him.
Timothy is survived by his children, Raven Harwell of Dallas, TX, and Simeon Harwell of Memphis, TN; six sisters: Vinnell Harwell, Tuwanta Burks, Evangeline Hearns, Cynthia (Bryant) Ward, Gearldenna (Sturgis) Watts, Gladys (Nate) Mickens; two brothers: Jeremy Harwell and Jamara Bell; and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Timothy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. He often expressed his enduring love for the two women who gave him the greatest gifts of his life-his children: Kimberly Harwell and Sylva Lewis (fiancé)
He will forever be remembered for his unwavering spirit, his warm heart, and his ability to make everyone around him feel loved and valued.
