David Leath Obituary

David Kee Leath, age 84, resident of Bethlehem Community, passed away on January 18, 2025, with his children at his bedside.

David was born January 7, 1941, the son of the late Richard LaFayette Leath and Cora Beatrice Kee Leath. He was also the brother to Peggy Leath Tapp. He graduated from Fayette County high school and attended Lambuth College, then served as a proud member of the Army National Guard.

David spent his life dedicated to the land he farmed. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, water skiing, drag racing, and listening to gospel music. He was a deacon in the First Baptist Church of Somerville.

David is survived by his daughter, Sarah Jane Leath; son, David Richard Leath; and granddaughters, Zoye Jean Leath, Sydney Brooke Leath, and Olivia Grace Leath.

There will be a graveside service at Somerville City Cemetery on January 25, 2025 at 10 A.M.

Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center and condolences may be left on our online guestbook at www.PeeblesFuneralHome.com.
