She was dedicated to her family and will always remain in our hearts.Jamie was born on March 19, 1956 in Shanghai, China, first daughter if the late Sheng Shu Li and Juan Guo. During the course of her married life Jamie lived in Memphis, Tennessee, Kaohsiung Taiwan and Beaumont, Texas before returning to Tennessee in 2009, to the town of Arlington. Shortly after giving birth to a son, Mrs. Davis studied nursing and worked on obtaining her US citizenship. During her nursing career Mrs. Davis worked at a number of institutions, including St. Francis of Memphis, St. Elizabeth of Beaumont and Baptist Memorial of Memphis. I just felt compelled to tell you, Jamie, that you´ll be remembered by one more of your class 1977, now that I got to know you by name, not just by face, as l was recently told the saddening news of your passing. I´m not sure we ever talked before, but your four years´ presence on the campus wove indispensable threads into the memory tapestry of my college days in Shangwai. I´m sure many times we attended the same classes in the tiered lecture room in the "Red Building"; I´m sure on occasions we might have bumped into each other at the crowded hot-water station, or strolling on the lawn after supper; and I´m sure I overheard you chatting away with friends in the queue, behind or in front of me, for the cafeteria food after a long day of classes......, and these days your young smiles I remember seeing nearly 50 years ago kept coming up in my mind´s eye. By now I know why I am extremely sad: we lost one of our own.
Jamie, Rest In Peace, in the eternal place, free from the devil you´ve been fighting against so hard and bravely, and for so long!

My deepest condolences to Jamie 's family. Jamie and I share the same dorm in Shanghai foreign language institute. She was a pretty , quiet and very nice young lady. I had a good long talk with her in 2023. We talked about visiting each other one day. Jamie's death saddened me greatly. Dear Jamie, you will always be in my memory. May you rest in peace.
