Janie Rogers Obituary
Janie Rogers was born in Elberton, Georgia September 2, 1934 to John and Annie Lee (nee Mattox) Jones. She was a graduate of Woodward High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Lorenzo Rogers, her oldest son Keith Arnold Rogers, her parents, her brothers and sisters, John Jones Jr., Jimmie Lee Jones, Acey Jones and Phyllis Ann Jones. Janie worked as a Homemaker and as a Social Worker for the Butler County Head Start Program. She retired from the Head Start program in order to raise her grandsons Nathan and Chad Rogers. Janie is survived by her children Calvin Rogers, Jesse (Ula) Rogers, Douglas Rogers, Jennifer Rogers, David Rogers and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Oxford on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 9 am until time of funeral service at 11 am.
