I was blessed to meet Char at Shadowlawn Middle School in 1999. She had so much impact on me during my teaching years and even later. Char gave wonderful advice, was a true mentor and sister, and was a woman of her word. She was a role model for all of us, young and veteran and I feel so blessed that I could call her friend. I'm so sorry we lost Char too soon, but we are all better people for knowing Char. She was a true angel here on earth and I know she's leading by example and I hope to continue to try to emulate her. Peace and blessings sweet Sistah.

Charlotte was Miss Wilson to me because I was a 4th grade student in her first year of teaching. She was my favorite teacher hands down, so energetic, beautiful and positive. I will share more memories personally but want to add my tribute here to speak for those on whom she had a lasting effect as an educator who understood the power of high expectations. Miss Wilson was a blessing to so many that continues on. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Thanks for being such a beautiful person. You had an inner beauty that overflowed outwards. Thanks for allowing me to call you during various situations. If you missed my call you always returned the call. Thanks for all the love you showed my daddy (William Bogan Jr) throughout the years (the visits, calls, food, flowers etc.). You loved him like a brother and he loved you like a sister. You both shared stories with me of how he always took care of you as a child. You would sing his name (Juniorrrrr) and he would sing yours (Charlotte Joooooo). Thanks for being more like an aunt than cousin. Thanks for all your words of encouragement and wisdom. You will truly be missed. Love You Eternally Cousin.

Gracious, kind, thoughtful, charitable... these words fall significantly short in describing my friend and mentor, Charlotte Hoyle. An educator by profession and a servant by faith, Ms. Hoyle meant so much to so many! Though our relationship span but a few years, "Char," as she liked to be called, became more than just a friend. She was a disciple, a mentor, a confidant, and a Sistah... a God Send!
With a soft spoken wisdom and a steely resolve for righteousness, Ms. Hoyle´s counsel has left and inevitable yet indelible mark upon my spirit.
So it is with an immense gratitude that I will forever remember her and with an indescribable sadness that I must let her go! RIP, my Sistah!

Char, a personal and professional friend for many decades, she was a beautiful person inside & out. Wherever she went, she became the hands and feet of Jesus. I know she's with her loving Savior singing Him Praises. I will miss your smiling face and encouraging words..

Charlotte was a lovely person! She will be greatly missed at Idlewild Presbyterian Church, where she gave so much of her time and talents. We were in the same women’s Bible study group and everyone was always glad when she was there with a smile, a wise word, and sometimes cookies. Charlotte, you were a blessing!

Mrs. Charlotte was a beautiful caring person. The last time I saw her in February 2025 she was so concerned about the children and the grief they have to live with in their young lives.

I got to know Charlotte when we had a great exercise group. We later turned in to having breakfast several times a year on a Saturday always picking different places to go. Charlotte hardly ever missed. We got to have great conversations and got really close. I was so shocked to hear of her passing. I was getting ready to call everyone to pick a place to go within this month. I will miss a dear friend. Love Carole
