I was in high school with Woodie. He was a redneck, real conservative, and I wasn't but we were friends. We hung out with the same wide circle of friends. He was 18, I was 15 and we hung out sometimes. We were wild and did things that maybe stretched the boundaries of the law some... well, we actually did some things
that I'm not going to tell you about. Mostly related to drinking. We were wild kids. High school kids test the world and that's what we did.
I've been happy to learn that Woodie went on to found a successful business and to hear that he seemed to live a productive life.
I never met him again my after my 15th year because I was shipped off to a different life elsewhere, but the internet allowed me to check in on Woodie's life occasionally, and it was gratifying for me to see that he seemed to move on to a happy, productive adulthood. All my best to you Woodie, and to those who cared about you.

As a boy scout in AShfield where I first met Woody and as stone mason, I knew his flare for the craft. He would always have a kind spirit and that did not change throughout our times we'd meet. I respected the work ethic and his attachment with keeping the natural things important. My condolances to the family and know he'll be very much missed, by many.
