Hidden Silos,...
Waves of freedom are felt trough the prevailing changes from the Holy Spirit. I feel you all around in glimpses of time in the living and the dead within my conscience awareness.
You are a warrior of freedom and there is nothing as grand as the advancing and retreating cosmic forces that sub stands all of Gods glorious creation that is of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I can feel it coming around again.
The vortex of freedom is lifted, where your great sacrifice was made. Your Brothers in arms are returning to seal the closed the tyrannical horror of an evil dictator.
God bless You and Them in the name of Jesus Christ …Amen!

Nick,
It is now tomorrow in Bagdad and we have been around the sun four times since you gave all for our freedom. I think of you each day and do my best to live the fullest life possible, thank you for your sacrifice.
In the beginning I thought there was nothing I could do for you, you were already gone when I heard the news. I drove franticly to see your father and mother and offer anything I could to comfort them. As usual Uncle Bill seemed fine and even talked like a duck and cracked a joke or two while we ate dinner at Ryan’s in Picayune. It was hard to understand how he could be so calm and still be moving forward with out breaking down, when your mom’s world had seemed to be crumbling before us. At first I only emulated him because it seemed the right thing to do. I followed his lead as not to let Aunt Linda think of what had just happened to you. We talked as if you were still there. I figured it is what a true warrior must do when they loose a comrade…knowing Uncle Bill must have seen things like this in Vietnam.
As we lay your father to rest not far behind you, I continued to view life the same way. I believe more than ever before that in salvation we are given eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. I feel you and your father’s presence in my life as I do my own father and brother, and all who have gone before us.
I can do a lot for you in continuing to be here for your mother and brother. I will always live life to the fullest. I will do everything I can not to let people not forget what you have done for us. I work around some of the most amazing people who have given so much for freedom and the United States of America. I tell them about you and your father and the foundation ya’ll have laid for us at Air Logistics. God bless you please continue to watch over us.

Happy late birthday!

August 21, 2007

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Nick,

You and your Family were so very special to me in Alabama from your age 10 - 15. You accomplished more in your 26 years then most do in a long lifetime. I am sure your in heaven watching over Steven and your Mom. You have always been such a giver. You gave to everyone - friends, family, your country. You are missed greatly. I remember the trips we took, your BMX bike racing, swim team, and school sports. I knew you would accomplish exceedingly much and I am so very proud of you.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

It has taken me a long time to gather the words....

I want to say that Nick was a great friend. He was a brother to me in life. He treated alot of people like that.

I went over to Afganistan. When I came home and met up with him and talked about all that I had seen.

Just a few months later he was trying to get me to go back overseas with him. Man I wanted to go!! I missed my wife too much.

Once he got back we talked and had fun and joked like old times. He tried to get me to go with him a second time and I couldn't because my wife was expecting my son. Life went on. My son was born on Feb. 15, 2005. A couple of weeks later I got the word that Nick was gone.

Nick is still in my thoughts. He was such a great friend.

Around one year after his death I attended a military function that was for all of the Louisiana military. I saw his picture during the rememberance video and I broke down into tears. At that moment I decided to name my second child after him. It came time that we found out if we had a Nicholas or a Nicole!! Nick for you bro!!! Nicole joined us on Sept. 18th!!! You will always be with me Nick!!!

To the Olivier family: I did not know Nick but I knew and worked with his father Bill for 7 years. I spoke with him often about his fears of Nick having to go to Iraq, but he realized it was Nick's duty to go just as it was his duty to go nearly 30 years before. I saw the fear in his eyes when Nick left and I saw the pain in his heart when he came back after Nick was gone. Bill left us just a few months after Nick did and we miss him. I keep his photo up here at work so as not to forget all that he taught me all of the good and bad times we had together. THey are together now, and God bless them both.

Psalm 23

1

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!

My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of a true soldier. As I sit here today reading this guest book, tears fill my eyes and my heart aches. I had put off coming to this site because I knew it would hurt. But I guess if Nick could give his life in return for our freedom, then I am more than capable of facing the loss of such a wonderful person at the expense of my sorrow and pain. Nick, mere words cannot even begin to describe how much we are going to miss you, and there is no definition in this world that can touch upon the pride and love that we feel for you. There is not a day that goes by that everyone in your family doesn't think about you. Your sacrice for us and for the love of your country will forever be greater than any gift that could ever be bestowed upon us. Uncle Bill, Aunt Linda, and Steve: the painting will be done very soon, and I love you all very much. You will forever be in my prayers. March 27, 2005

I am writing in response to an e-mail sent out by SSgt. David Stone's mother. My condolences to everyone in Sgt. Nicholas Olivier's family. The loss of any life is tragic. The sacrifice of the young men and women in the armed services is appreciated by many anonymous people, among them, myself. My dad was a vet of WWII, a ball turrett gunner in a B-17, and a prisoner of war. He was fortunate to survive the experience. In growing up, there was always an atmosphere of respect for the military in the house. I absorbed that and I believe have passed it on to my daughter. In reading one of the other entries, I noticed that Sgt. Olivier was a "Pike". I am assuming that that means he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. I was a 'Little Sister" of the Pike chapter at my university. Even the most distant and physically separated people can have the strangest of connections. So I send my condolences at another level, that of a fraternity brother/sister. May Sgt. Olivier rest securely in the knowledge that his sacrifice in the interest of freedom is honored by many.

To the Family and Friends of Nick Olivier,

I did not know Nick, nor did I know his family. I am a SSgt in the US Air Force, and I am a "Loadmaster" on a C-130. The only way I knew him, was when I flew to Iraq to get him, and fly him out. It is never easy to pick up fallan brothers, but the only thing that helps, is knowing I helped in bringing him home. My thoughts and prayers were with his family that night, and remain today. God Bless. I will never forget. SSgt Stone

I don't know where to start, Nick is the 5th friend that has passed away giving the ultimate gift, FREEDOM. I have been moving in the same footsteps of Nick Serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and soon to be going back. It pains my heart to see a friend pass but it also brings pride to know that he did it for his Family, and for thousands of people he didn't know and never will know. "FALLEN HERO

I STARE AT THE CASKET;

DRAPED WITH THE NATION'S CLOTH.

I'M MOMENTARILY STARTLED;

AS THE GUNS GO OFF.

ANOTHER FALLEN SOLDIER;

BEING LAID TO REST.

I STRUGGLE TO BREATHE;

FOR THIS TIGHTNESS IN MY CHEST.

THE BUGLER SO SMOOTH;

AS HE HITS EVERY NOTE.

IT IS HARD TO SWALLOW;

BECAUSE OF THIS LUMP IN MY THROAT.

TEARS FALL LIKE RAIN;

AS I LOOK TO THE SKY.

NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I HEAR IT;

"TAPS" STILL MAKES ME CRY.

THE BUGLE NOW SILENT;

AS WE PRAY FOR THE DEAD.

I GATHER MYSELF;

AS I BOW DOWN MY HEAD.

LORD BLESS THESE HEROS;

WHO HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES.

COMFORT THEIR CHILDREN;

THEIR HUSBANDS AND WIVES.

LET US NOT FORGET;

THEY HAVE GIVEN THEIR ALL.

LET THE BUGLE BE SILENT;

LET NO MORE SOLDIERS FALL."

But I do know that they had lots of fun together. And from I have seen of Nick when he came to the house he was a very well mannered young man. The military was lucky to have a Good Man in their infintry. We have just lost our mother Betty Louque McLeod Jan 29th, 2004 so Bryan is still feeling the grief and the news of Nick did not help him either. Knowing that he could have been beside him in this war but because of his diabetes he was left out.

Man, I knew nick in high school. Rode to prom in a limo with him. He was a really cool guy that everyone got along with. I'm sure everyone from our graduating class is sad to hear about this b/c he was just the kinda guy that everyone liked. I'm very sorry to hear that this has happened, and I'm very proud of that kid for putting his life on the line for our country.

We'll see you again one of these days pal.

My brother was in Nick's pledge class in Pike and is a Marine currently in Iraq. I am not sure if my brother has heard of Nick's passing yet, but I, along with the rest of my family, have the Olivier's in my thoughts and prayers. It is extremely hard having a family member in the military and fighting overseas. But the thing we must all remember is that Nick is such a brave and honorable man for putting his life first and protecting his country. We should all be proud to have someone like him serving our nation.

Nick was one of my dearest friends in high school, and it really is a shame that we did not keep in better touch through college.

He had a gift that allowed him to win over people's hearts. Which he is still doing even through his death. He will be greatly missed by many, but remembered always.

Nick, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I knew Nick back when we both attended First Baptist Church in Norco, LA. He was a handsome kid who always had a big smile for everyone. He was also a bit of a rascal. My love and prayers go out to his parents, Linda and Bill, and to his bride, Angelle.

I was not very close to Nick but I do remember him from family events. I wish now that I would have taken more time to get to know a cousin of mine. I am proud to say that I have a hero in my family, someone who was willing to give his life for the betterment of the world that we live in. Nick, your courage will inspire many after you. Thanks for loving our country enough to defend it to your death.May God watch over our family and help protect those still putting their lives at risk today.
