Mavis Drayton affectionately known as "Red" to family and friends peacefully passed away on November 6, 2025, at her residence in Laplace, LA. Mavis was born on March 29, 1956, to the late Donald Victor and Lafishia Sampson Victor.
She was the wife of the late Izell "Tom" Thomas and the mother of Sheri Williams and Courtney Lynn Drayton. Mavis was the loving grandmother of Karnacio and Khalil Drayton and Vernisha Williams and great grandmother of Khalil, Jr. Mavis was the sister of Linda Jones, Donna Victor and Marietta Mason. Mavis is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and the staff at East Jefferson Dietary Department.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, officers and members Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, and all neighboring Churches are invited to the Celebration of Life Services at 11:00am on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, 47 Cathy Street, Norco, LA 70079. Visitation 9:00am until the time of service at the above-named Church. Interment will be private. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
