Victor Gerard Cockrham Jr.

Victor Gerard Cockrham, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, entered eternal rest peacefully on August 30, 2025 at the age of 35. Born on May 16, 1990, Victor grew up in St. Rose, Louisiana, and attended Destrehan High School. He later pursued studies at the Aveda Arts and Science Institute in New Orleans. Victor was a man of many entrepreneurial talents. He was an artist, photographer, esthetician, and creative services freelancer, and he truly did it all. What connected all of his gifts was his deep appreciation for beauty. He not only had a passion for making anything or anyone aesthetically pleasing, but he also carried a unique ability to see beauty in everything around him. From his carefully curated ensembles to the décor of his home, he ensured that everything reflected his style and vision. That love of beauty shaped both his work and his hobbies. He found joy in being surrounded by nature, formulating facial serums, perfecting his website for his skincare company, and selecting clothing pieces that expressed his individuality. His favorite pastimes included creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere at home, practicing his skincare regimen, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, studying the Bible, engaging with thought-provoking YouTube discussions, listening to music, and spending time with his partner, James. Victor built a respected career as a creative director and image consultant, serving both local artists and businesses throughout New Orleans. His talent, style, and vision left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with. Victor was preceded in death by his grandparents, Moses and Bessie Cockrham, and by Luther and Claudia McGee. He leaves behind cherished memories with his parents, Victor Gerard Cockrham, Sr. and Faye McGee Cockrham, his sibling, Nile Jordan Cockrham, his beloved partner, James Madise, his pets, Pinot and Brie, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family of Victor Gerard Cockrham, Jr. wishes to express our sincere gratitude for the many prayers, comforting words, and acts of kindness shown during this difficult time.
