Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Ryan A. Bishop US Army Specialist.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.

Hello my daughter plays for a softball team in Texas and they wear a jersey in remembrance of a fallen solider. She was honored to wear SPC Ryan A Bishop on her jersey. Dear Mr. Bishop,
We just wanted to let you know we still think of you and your son quite often. You have been in our prayers and we were excited to hear that God has sent you a special gift recently! May He continue to bless you and keep you.
We miss Ryan. Evan knew him well and we wouldn't be together had it not been for Ryan. We never thought anything like this could have happened, especially to Ryan, but we were sadly mistaken and it is hard to think of him and know we won't see him here on earth again.
In my heart though I really feel he knew Jesus and was saved and he will be waiting in heaven for when we all come home.
I am thankful for his sacrifice, but very sad that it had to come at such a price. We know he touched the lives of many people and we will always love and miss our friend.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised LE RON A. I feel so proud that I got to be a part of Ryan's life. I remember fondly all those crazy things he used to say and do. Feeling like part of the family to come visit and laugh with Paul and Ryan. It was a great source of joy in my younger years. I will always remember his laugh and the joy he brought to all of our lives. I am only sorry that we lost touch in the passing years as far too many do after school is over and real life begins. I am happy, though, that I go back in touch with Ryan in the past several months of his life and to wish him luck in Iraq. Evan and I are really holding you in our prayers and lifting you up to God at this time. I pray you find the strength to keep breathing and keep taking one day at a time. The only possilbe good news in this tragedy is that your first born son is again with his worried mother who loves him and is fully healed in the presence of our Lord Jesus. Evan and I know how dedicated Ryan was to anything he ever set his mind to, and with his faith in the leadership of our contry and military he gave the ultimate sacrifice for us here at home. I am a Marine Mom myself and fully understand & appreciate the sacrifice that Ryan & so many others have made for our country. My son was also a weapons specialist & I thank God everyday that he came home safe & sound. God bless our military in Iraq & around the globe for protecting us from other attacks since 9/ll. I heard today for the first time about Ryan. I can't believe it. Someone, one of the great ones, so full of life gone too early. It was a joy growing up with Ryan and around such a great family like the Bishops. I remember so many great times with Ryan and you guys. I remember leaving a football game on a Thursday night and going to Kentucky with Charlie, Lynn, and Ryan for the lumberjack competition. I wasn't at all interested in lumberjacking, I just wanted to be with my friend. And what a friend. Melanie, I regret that I never got to know the woman that Ryan chose for his wife. You must be something very special. I will never forget my first best friend here in the states. So easy to get along with, so fun to be around, so hard to forget.

Our Condolences. Mr. Wagner's fourth graders wrote to Ryan. We hope he read some of the letters. They thanked him and called him the "bravest person they knew", and some called him "my hero." We here at ACE were very saddened by the news. We called him "our soldier."
We feel deep sympathy for Melanie even though we never met her. We will keep you both in our prayers.

My condolences to the family and friends that Ryan left behind. The sacrifice that he made will not be forgotten. I never met Ryan however he was the soldier that my unit was sponsoring in Iraq. I am deeply saddened by his death.
