Hannah Campbell Obituary

CAMPBELL Hannah Jean Hannah Jean Campbell, "Boo Boo," was born January 18, 2008 and became an angel on the day she turned nine months old, October 18, 2008. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her mommy and daddy at her side. Hannah had been fighting an inherited neuromuscular disease, Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Hannah's mind, heart, and spirit were no different from any other baby. She was full of love and had the most charming personality. She instantly turned a house into a home and made her family's life complete. Her many smiles and her laughter gave her family the courage needed to unconditionally love and care for Hannah each day. Some of Hannah's greatest joys were her "shows", especially Winnie the Pooh, her honey bunny, her binky, her swing, playing with balloons, being tickled, and being silly with her family. She was the most perfect baby and will grow forever in our hearts. Hannah is survived by her parents, Matthew Campbell and Donna Taylor; grandparents, Laurie and Jason DeVault and Gary Taylor; great-grandparents, Harry and Sandy Taylor and Clyde Gooch; aunts and uncles, Thomas and Stephanie Taylor and Brenna Taylor; great-aunt, Rosey Swaya and countless other family and friends who loved and supported Hannah with her fight against SMA. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Denise Campbell; great-grandparents, James and Jean Swaya, Ethel Gooch and Lorena Taylor. Family and friends may visit Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., where funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 22 at 4 p.m. Hannah's family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their support. It is also very important to the family that Hannah's life continues to raise awareness of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the number one genetic killer of children under the age of two. Donations can be made to the family and, in honor of Hannah's life, also to the Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, at P. O. Box 196, Libertyville, IL 60048-0196 or online at www.curesma.org Petition to support federal resources for research focused on finding a cure for SMA at www.petitiontocuresma.com Remember Hannah at www.caringbridge.org/visit/hannahcampbell We love you sweet baby, sweet dreams forever and always.

I'll Be There

Daddy please don't look so sad,
Momma please don't cry,
Cause I am in the arms of Jesus and
He sings me lullabies.
Please try not to question God,
Don't think He is unkind.
Don't think He sent me to you,
And then He changed His mind.
You see, I am a Special Child,
And I am needed up above,
I'm the special gift you gave Him,
The product of your love.
I'll always be there with you,
And watch the sky at night
Find the brightest star that's gleaming,
That's my halo's brilliant light
You'll see me in the morning frost,
That mists your windowpane.
That's me, in the summer showers,
I'll be dancing in the rain.
When you feel a gentle breeze,
From a gentle wind that blows,
That's me, I'll be there, Planting a kiss on your nose.
When you see a child playing,
And your heart feels a little tug,
That's me, I'll be there, giving your heart a hug.
So, daddy, please don't look so sad,
Mommy don't you cry.
I'm in the arms of Jesus,
and He sings me lullabies.

Donna and Matt,
Words can not express how sorry I am for your loss. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers...
