Barbara E. Newell

NEWELL, Barbara E., 92, of Petersburg, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Grace Arnold Heck; and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Newell; two sons, Warren and Leonard Newell; and two grandsons, Ronald Moody Jr. and Leonard Newell Jr. Mrs. Newell is survived by two sons, Thomas Newell and wife, Joan, of West Springfield, Mass., and Norman Newell and wife, Diane, of E. Windsor, Conn.; three daughters, Barbara Moody and husband, Ronnie, of East Long Meadow, Mass., Nancy Caul and husband, Donnie, of Petersburg, and Judy Cuenin and husband, Michael, of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Sharon Booth and husband, Gary, Rhea Bermudez, Tammie Daniels, Chris Austin, and Mike Caul and wife, Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Joshua (currently serving in Iraq) and wife, Katrina, Lauren, Scottie, Aaron, Geoffrey, Austin, Paul, Alexis, and Alijah; great-great-grandson, Aiden. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Jeff Ginn officiating. Interment Forestdale Cemetery, Holyoke, Mass. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at church. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
