My condolences go out to the Wright family as we all try to understand the why's of losing those close to us. Tom has left an indelible mark on those of us that knew him at Circuit City. We will always have fond memories of his jokes and laughter. For those that sat near him, it was hard to escape the brunt of a good joke. We all may not have known the magnitude of his illness because he fought a good fight and ran a good race. May the Lord bring peace to our troubled minds, healing to our heavy hearts and comfort to our souls.

Aunt Rosie, Debbie, Frances, Helen and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know that Tommy was loved very much by the entire family and that he fought a brave battle before finally giving in. As the only boy in the family, Tommy had a special place that will never be filled, but know that he is now is a far greater place and that his illness is now a thing of the pass. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this time. I love you all.

Amy & the Wright family,

What can you say about Tom. What a great friend that helped me through some tough times in my life and he will be missed. When Tom and I were roommates we had the time of our lives. Playing softball and going to VCU basketball games and even U of R games with Paul Massie we had a great time. Suzanne and I will keep all of you in our prayers.

Rosie, Debbie, Charlotte, Frannie, and Helen,
We are keeping you close in both thought and prayer at this time. Like everything else in his life, Tom gave cancer a good run for it's money too. But now that the race is run, he's in a perfect body where nothing can hinder him or cause him pain again. We hope that brings you some degree of comfort now and in the future.
All our love,

It has been several years since I last saw Tom. Growing up in the neighborhood with “Tom Tom”, I remember him as a true sportsman both on and off the court or field as the case may be. I admired his persistence, his passion and his humble nature. My heart goes out to his family and all his dear and close friends,
God Bless

What can I say? I just received word of Tom's passing. He was my friend for the past 39 years. We were both dedicated VCU alumni and I never met anyone so passionate about everything he did. Even though time and distance have separated us, I will always cherish his friendship and his faithfulness. I know he is now with Charlie in God's Kingdom, and there will be no more pain, nor sorrow, nor tears. My prayers and love go out to his family, and though I know he is in a better place, I'm going to miss him.

To the Wright Family: Tom was a dear and true friend and he will be missed by all who knew him. Certainly, John has many memories of his time with Tom and the gang with softball, and of course hanging out at Piggy's. As well, we were blessed to share in the celebration of Tom and Amy becoming husband and wife. We are truly blessed to have known Tom and he will be forever in our hearts and our memories. May your hearts soon be filled with the wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived. Our love and sympathies are extended to the entire family. John, Lisa, Haley & Abby Harris.

I first met Tom while in Hermitage High School together, and became reaquainted with Tom after joining the Eliminators Softball team. "Chief", as we sometimes called him, was always fun to be around and was a great leader on the field and off, and was one of the nicest people I have ever met. It has been my honor to be counted among his friends.

Tom will be missed in more ways than I can count. It was always great times to be around him through the years of playing softball and watching ball games. But more importantly, he was a close friend that you could depend on. He made good times better and bad times much more bearable always with a smile, a grin, and a laugh. The two moments I will remember most are: Tom on his wedding day. His union with Amy was the beginning of his best days. Second, was the call I got from Tom after VCU beat Duke in basketball in March of 2007. The joy of that moment will be never be forgotten because I got to share it with him. Family, friends, and the Ram-nation will miss him so much.

Amy and Wright Family,
I have been blessed to be Tom's good friend for the past 28 years. We had more good times than I can count - golf, softball, VCU games. We can all learn from Tom's character and courage concerning how he handled his illness. He never gave up. Tom, we all love you.
