HOWARD, Leila Walker "Sage," 88, passed away October 7, 2008. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Kenneth L. Howard. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Howard II and his wife, Bonnie, of Chesterfield; and her daughter, Leila Kuper, of New Kent. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, John Kuper III, Stephen Kuper, Michael Kuper, Ryland Kuper Jr., Charity Woods, April Blankenship, and Kenneth Howard III; seven great-grandchildren, Trisha, Caitlin, Carly, Abigail, Elaina, Courtney, and Mickey; her sister, Lillian Watford of Sumter, S.C. Leila was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness for 48 years. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, October 11, 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3699 Darbytown Road, Richmond, Va. If desired, contributions may be made to the Providence Forge Building Fund of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, P.O. Box 95, Quinton, Va. 23141.
