John Turner Obituary

TURNER, John Crawford, Jr., 73, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 17, 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Margaret W. Turner; daughter and son-in-law, Mary T. and Michael R. Tuck; son and daughter-in-law, J. Crawford Turner III and Melissa B. Turner; grandchildren, Lauren and Sarah Tuck; sisters, Frances T. Wilson and her husband, Dr. G. Todd Wilson, Anne T. Miller and her husband, Rev. John T. Miller. Mr. Turner was a U.S. Army Veteran, a University of South Carolina graduate, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. He received his Masters Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and retired as a Senior Vice President at Nations Bank. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Interment was at Edgewood Cemetery in Greenwood, S.C. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Memorial Fund, 5155 Iron Bridge Rd., Richmond, Va. 23234 or the Richmond Metro Chapter of the American Parkinson's Disease Association, P.O. Box 70283, Richmond, Va. 23225.
