MITCHELL, Nelson W., of Richmond, departed this life December 9, 2008. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma M. Robinson and Gladys I. Mitchell; and one brother, Thomas P. Mitchell Jr. He is survived by one daughter, Angela Mitchell; one grandson; three sisters, Lucille L. Boyd, Evelyn R. Williams and Dorothy M. Chappelle; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, among them, two devoted nieces, Carolyn and Tomeka Mitchell and a devoted nephew, Eugene Mitchell; two brothers-in-law, Cornell Robinson and James Boyd; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where memorial services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Dr. Earl Brown officiating. Interment private. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:45 a.m. Monday. Online condolences can be made at www.jenkinsjr.com.

I am going to miss Nelson, that was my buddy...I love to see across the street from my Grandma's house on Claiborne St. My heart goes out to the family.
