Farleigh family, Words can not express the feeling of loss we all feel. Buck was my father and my rock from the moment I met him. He was my father figure and someone to talk to and trust and rely on while being here in Richmond without family around me. He was my family. I will miss seeing him in the yard and playing with his dog Stuart. He also influenced our decision to get a pet and we chose Chauncey because Buckwheat was so beautiful. He sure loved his dogs and they were the luckiest animals on the face of the earth :-)
We all feel your loss as much as you do. We were all blessed to have known him.

To Bucky's Family:
When my own family moved to Riverview in Norfolk back in the early 50s, Bucky was a nearby neighbor and quickly became one of my best friends throughout our time at Granby H.S. In those days many of us thumbed a ride to school, and rare was the morning when Bucky, my "thumbing mentor", did not meet me at the corner of 40th and Granby Sts. to thumb a ride to GHS. Bucky was a great friend in those days, and although many years passed before we were again able to renew our friendship, I had that privilege recently at St. Mary's hospital as well as at his and Dottie's residence a couple of years ago with his other Riverview buddies. We all will miss him and share in your loss.
