REAVES, Miss Carolyn Ann, of Varina, departed this life January 15, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Retha Reaves; and brother, Millard Reaves. She is survived by one devoted aunt, Minnie Holmes; one devoted nephew, Rev. Barry Reaves; one devoted cousin, William H. Squire (Alfreda); and many devoted friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th Street. Remains will lie in state Wednesday, 11 a.m., at St. James Baptist Church, 2169 New Market Road, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon. Rev. Kevin L. Sykes, pastor, officiating. Eulogy by Rev. Barry Reaves. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
