Charles Arthur Reaves, affectionately known as "Lizard," passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, in Kernersville, North Carolina, at the age of 68. Born on July 30, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, Charles lived a life filled with passion for music, sports, and the great outdoors.

An avid musician and accomplished drummer, Charles found joy in the rhythm of life, often sharing his love for music with those around him. His enthusiasm extended beyond music; he was a devoted NASCAR fan and a loyal supporter of the Washington Redskins. The call of the wild often drew him outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting deer and spending cherished moments with family and friends.

Charles was a member of the Crossing Church on Highway 150 in Kernersville, where he found fellowship and community. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles and Mable Lilly Reaves, his sister Joan Diane Reaves, and his brother Marvin Lester Parsons.

He is survived by his brothers, William Carder and Steve Reaves, and his nieces Paula Bolin, Becky Murtha, Chrissy Curtis, Connie Nelson, and Samantha Parsons. He also leaves behind his nephews Frankie Lingles and Shane Parsons, along with many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

In accordance with his family's wishes, a private celebration of life will be held to honor Charles's memory. While he may no longer walk among us, the echoes of his laughter and the beat of his drum will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
