HELM, Helen Fifield, born on November 8, 1926, widow of J. Arnold Helm went to her eternal rest on February 13, 2009. She was a lifelong resident of Fauquier County, Va. Left to cherish her memory are three children, James A. Helm Jr. of Remington, Va., Ann Helm Smoot of Mechanicsville, Va. and Philip B. Helm of Culpeper, Va. Other family includes daughter-in-law, Valerie Helm; and four grandchildren, Beth Helm Winn of Remington, Va., Dan Helm of Bealeton, Va., Justin Scott of New York City, N.Y., and Cara Scott of Indian Harbour, Fla.; and two great-granddaughters. Mrs. Helm worked with her husband in his insurance business for some years but saw herself primarily as a wife and mother. She was a longtime member of the Remington United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009 at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, Va. A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Remington United Methodist Church, 150 West Bowen St., Remington, Va. Interment will be in the Remington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Remington United Methodist Church, the Remington Volunteer Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 159, Remington, Va. 22734 or Fauquier Health System Foundation, 356 Hospital Drive, Warrenton, Va. 20186.
