Mike, you are not forgotten. I have a special place I often go to talk to you, and to Jerry Kemperman, and the rest of the "Blue Island guys" who aren't with us any longer. There is only a handful of them left now. R. I. P. for now my friend. Some day, we'll all be re-united again. Here on this Earth, we are struggling in un-precidented times, and, I do hope that your family is all doing well.

We all have hundreds of stories to tell about our times with Mike, all greater than the previous one, or maybe we just embelish and tell bigger lies. Mike was a great friend all the time and i can't begin to tell the family how importatnt he was to me. I thank the family for sharing him with his railroad friends. I will miss him. My condolences to Sharon and family.

having known Michael J for 38 yrs, I offer my condolences to Sharon, Susan, and Jennifer, along with the rest of his family whom I never made acquaintances with. "Mike" was truly an IrishMan (although we never held that against him). He was one of the most likeable and respected men I have known. He was a devoted, loving husband and father and proud to have been so. Looking back over the years I knew him, he made an imprint and an impact on me. I can say he was truly "the real deal", said what he meant, meant what he said. He was the epitome of an "OLD STYLE" kinda guy. ...literally and figuratively. He will be missed
