We have known the Russell family for years, having attended Andrews Methodist Church in Whitehaven together years ago. Crue and Magda were great friends of our family. They came to check on my Dad many times when he was sick in the hospital. They were a constant for my Mom during Dad's illness and death. Our hearts and prayers go out to Magda and all of the family as you deal with his loss. God bless you all. Jeannine Wills Dickerson

Crue was both soldier & family man. He was a Life Member of the David H. Hackworth Chapter of Band of Brothers and always a joy in conversation in the Hospitality Suite during reunions where he openly shared the various chapters of his enriched life. He will be remembered with a special Memorial Plate on our Memorial Plaque during the 2011 reunion in Cincinnati with the prayerful words, gone but not forgotten. Crue and Magda were also close personal friends, as are the family and grandchildren, two of whom are gallantly following in opa's footsteps in the combat service of our Nation to protect and defend the freedoms we Americans enjoy on a daily basis.

Our sincerest sympathies to Magda and the entire family. We know Crue and Magda through the Band of Brothers Military group and have always enjoyed his kind and gentle spirit. Last year Crue spoke of his love for our group at our special breakfast as if he almost sensed that he would not be back at our reunion this year. Please know that he will be remembered and his loss will be felt by all. Fondly, Sandy and Dan Evans(Canton, OH)
