Well, you have been gone 12 years now. Digger just left us recently unexpectedly. Here you two sit in the Green Room at The Sportsmens Lodge. Great fond memories we have of both of you. All the fun and great times are never forgotten. We will forever cherish every one if those memories.

Big Ed ..... no one ever compared with his enthusiasm for NASCAR or Golden Boot Awards where he served on the committee. He also kept in touch with his many friends all over the world; especially his classmates and friends from Bishopville, South Carolina.

It's been 10 years now since we gathered for your Celebration of Life. We still miss you so very much and remember you often. Our love for you is still strong. And we keep our memories buried deep within our hearts. And Phyllis you have been a very strong woman. With a lot of life filled golden memories. So many to cherish snd hold dear. Our only regret is that we didn't know Ed longer. He was larger than life and will continue to be. He was a kind man and a good neighbor. We WILL miss him...

Ed was always in a good mood! His presence made everyone else feel his joy of life. He would always fly from coast to coast for Golden Boot Award meetings and made his thoughtful contributions part of our success. He'd even come out to California for special lunches. Ed was truly a fine person. Having worked with him for numerous years at Delta Airlines, I never heard him say one bad word about another person, and I never saw him upset with another person. He did not have one bad bone in his body. He was taken from his family, and the rest of us, far too soon.

Today I'm in Indianapolis watching the Brickyard 400 on t.v. in my hotel room. I know this was one of Ed's favorite tracks for racing. I feel his spirit here in Indy. I love all the memories that Ed shared with us all. What a wonderful man that will be truly missed. Love Always, Jennifer

Oh, how I loved this wonderful man. Buddy Strickland was always family to me. Growing up in Bishopville, has given him special place in all my memories. I shall miss him terribly. So glad I made the Golden Boot trips with Buddy and Phyllis. What a great person!!
