To my cousins and the rest of the Charity family, I am saddened to hear of your loss. I was always very fond of Mr. Charity... even though he teased me as a child by asking if he could have my ears, and then I'd see pig ears and scissors on the table outside and take off running! I forget a lot of things these days, but I have never forgotten that, and have laughed for years now over it. Despite that playful trauma, I remember him being an extremely kind, soft-spoken man who seemed to really love his family. I know that he will be greatly missed and pray the Lord keep you each in His care as He sends you the Comforter. Love y'all..

TO MY LOVING FATHER:
THE LOVE YOU GAVE TO US WAS LIKE NO OTHER. OUR HEARTS ARE BREAKING, BUT WE KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE. YOU RAN YOUR RACE AND IT IS TIME FOR YOUR REWARD. YOU AND MOM GAVE US UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND BECAUSE OF YOUR CONSTANCE SUPPORT WE ARE THE INDIVIDUALS WE ARE TODAY, SO WITH SAD HEARTS WE RELEASE YOU TO JOURNEY ON, TELL MOM WE MISS AND LOVE HER AND THAT THE BOTH OF YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS AND SO GREATLEY LOVED.

Granddaddy, it rain for you, shedding the tears my body couldn't form. I have many regrets and many warnings. All I can say is no one has been more of a shining beacon in my life. I can be all that you taught me to be and more importantly, I know what a MAN truly is. I cry for all the children who won't ever get to know and learn from you. I cry for all the knowledge you took with you. I know now that my favorite scent is YOU (Butterscotch and Coffee). I love gospel because of YOU and I turn to GOD just like YOU. So until We see YOU again...WE LOVE YOU AND WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU

My brother-in-law treated me more like a brother. Over the years, I lived at my sister, Dorothy, and brother-in-law's home, and it was as if it were my own home. They shared their love, advice, support, and family with me, and were always there for me. I miss my sister, and I will miss my brother-in-law. I will not be able to stop by and talk with them now like I used to whenever I came home to Richmond... they were always the same every time. I only hope that I can give that same love and care to others that they gave me. He was a great man- never spoke an unkind word, and God blessed us to have had him in our lives. Rest now, brother, and thank you for all that you have done for us. We will always remember you... your work is done.
In Love.

TO ALL MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS,
THERE IS NO TIME FOR SAD REMEMBRANCES, BECAUSE HE'S HOME WHERE HE BELONG. HE'S CONQUERED ALL HIS BATTLES; HE'S EVEN HEARD THE TRUMPET'S SONG. HE'S CLIMED HIS HIGHEST MOUNTAIN AND REACHED AN EVEN PEAK AND FOUND THAT PEACE AND TRUE REWARD THAT WE HAVE YET TO SEEK. THERE'S NO TIME FOR SAD REMEMBRANCES FOR WE HAVE A PRECIOUS LIFE; SO WE FIND COMFORT IN HIS JOURNEY, PLEASE DON'T BEAR THIS PAIN AND STRIFE.
HIS FATHER'S HOUSE IS PERFECT JUST LIKE HE SAID IT WOULD BE.
SO LET'S DRY OUR TEARS, BECAUSE HE IS HOME AND NOW FREE. HE IS PART OF ALL THE BEAUTY THAT OUR WORLD HAS YET TO SEE, SO WE WON'T BE SAD ABOUT HIS JOURNEY, JUST GLAD THAT HE IS FREE.
WE LOVE YOU ALL
