Service: MONDAY: Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at Christ the King Church.

August 6, 2013, age 94. Wife of the late Charles E. McKenna; daughter of the late Hayden and Helen Luther; dearest mother of Kevin (Kathleen) McKenna, Kathleen (Edward) Kolodziej, Kerry (Veronica Bolcik) McKenna, Kirk (Gretchen) McKenna and Kenneth McKenna; beloved Nana of Dr. Meaghan (Alan Paulk) McKenna, Dr. Erin (Ron) Luna, Erik Kolodziej, Conor, Christopher and Ryan McKenna; Great Nana of Nathaniel Paulk, David and Julia Luna; sister of Dana L. (late George) Yaste and the late Hayden R. (Buddy) Luther Jr.; also survived by nieces and nephews. Yvonne devoted her life to her family and her students. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst where prayers will be said at 9 AM on Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 AM at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Amherst. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brothers of Mercy Foundation, 4520 Ransom Rd., Clarence, NY 14031. Online condolences may be made at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com

Dear Kathy,
Our prayers are with you and your family during this very sad time.
Although you know in your heart that your mom will be with the Heavenly Father some day, but when it happens, it still hurts.
